Loco released back into traffic following completion of repairs.

Confirmation received that the electrical flashover was contained to the electrical compartment, and not the traction motors as originally feared. Loco released from St Leonards, and transferred to Stewarts Lane for repairs.

Regretably, whilst working 6G18 73136 was declared a failure following a suspected electrical flashover. The train was hauled from the possession at Hastings to Tonbridge West Yard by 66712.

An unusual visitor was to be found at Liverpool Street station - in the form of 73136. The loco had been hired by the West Coast Railway Co. to act as the 'tug' loco on the ECS working of a Norwich - Liverpool Street steam hauled (B1 61264) charter. 73136 hauled the ECS to Dalston as part of the turning move for the 'B1' and coaching stock before returning to Liverpool St in the early evening.

73136 & FM Rail's 73107 worked the highly successful Hertfordshire Railtour 'Blueberry Fool' from London Cannon Street - Littlehampton & return. The train operated throughout in Top & Tail mode for ease of operation.

73136 has today been released off repairs at St Leonards (Engineering Ltd). Essential repairs to the No.3 cylinder were required following discovery of water contamination during a routine oil sample in early December. St Leonards (Engineering Ltd) had been contracted to carry out the work.

73136 made is debut passenger working (in its new guise) on Pathfinder Tours 'Capital Crusader' railtour. This took the loco - along with GBRf's 73204 - on a circular tour from London Euston over southern metals via the scenic 'Surrey Hills'. Despite 73204 experiencing problems en route, we are pleased to say that 73136 put in a faultless performance and was enjoyed by those on board.

Whilst on hire to GB Railfreight, 73136 along with two GBRf 73's ran from Stewarts Lane to Eastleigh Works to collect 73210 & 73211. These were then delivered to their temporary new home of Stewarts Lane having been purchased by a private individual.
